Abstract

Quality Engineering (QE) plays a critical role in bridging the gap between product development processes and business objectives. This paper presents a structured, methodology-agnostic framework for effective Quality Engineering execution, applicable across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid development models. It delineates key principles and best practices across five essential phases—understanding, planning, execution, reporting, and continuous improvement. By systematically addressing requirement gaps, establishing clear acceptance criteria, implementing robust testing strategies, and fostering a culture of continuous enhancement, QE professionals can significantly improve software quality, operational efficiency, and business value.
