Main Article Content
Abstract
This study, "Enhancing Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness: A Case Study of Civil Engineering Faculty," investigates the leadership styles, organizational culture, communication strategies, and decision-making processes within a Civil Engineering Department. Using a mixed-methods approach, data was collected through surveys, interviews, and focus groups with faculty members. The research aims to evaluate current leadership styles and identify areas for improvement to foster a positive organizational climate and support faculty development. Findings indicate a predominance of transformational leadership, which positively impacts faculty engagement. However, there is a need for more participative leadership, inclusive decision-making, and improved communication strategies. The study also identifies challenges such as resistance to change and the adoption of sustainable practices within the department. Recommendations include promoting participative leadership, strengthening communication channels, fostering a collaborative culture, and investing in faculty development. The study provides actionable insights to create a dynamic and innovative academic environment, contributing to the advancement of engineering education and faculty performance.
