Abstract

In the era of advances in information and communication technology, information that was previously in analog form has shifted to digital format. This transformation takes advantage of advances in digital technology which allows information to be accessed and transmitted via devices and internet networks. The growth of this technology has penetrated various sectors of life and has become a basic need for every individual in society. Education is one sector that is experiencing significant transformation as a result of this innovation. Character education is an important element in the teaching and learning process, where various parties are involved in efforts to achieve positive goals and guide the younger generation to face future challenges. The principles of character education are integrated and manifested in the learning process, forming students who have integrity and strong social abilities. Teachers have a central role in shaping the character of students in elementary schools. They act as examples and role models for students, becoming models for children to follow. This literature research aims to examine the impact of digitalization in shaping the character of students in elementary schools and the role of educators in this process, by utilizing available digital technology tools.
